Member of the Barreau du Québec since 1990, Mr. Bernier is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI). In addition to sitting on the District Council and several Quebec District Committees of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) and on the Disciplinary Committee of the Montreal Exchange, he is a lecturer in Business Law and securities at the Faculty of Law of the Université de Sherbrooke since 1993 and in Derivatives Law at the Faculty of Law of the Université de Montréal since 2010.

Ali Boudhina,

Mr. Boudhina is responsible for the risk measurement and analysis of CDPQ’s Fixed Income portfolio. He contributes to the improvement of risk measures, trade analysis and support of investment teams. Before joining the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, Mr. Boudhina worked for several years in consulting, where he was charged with several modeling mandates for banks and financial institutions.

Claude Cyr,

Mr. Cyr is a trader (own account) and instructor for the Prosperity Club, at which he teaches risk management, trading, and derivatives. He also teaches Futures and Options at the MBA level at the Haskayne School of Business of the University of Calgary. He had previously spent 7 years within the TMX Group as Executive Manager of the NGX, the Canadian energy exchange. He has also been Senior Vice President, Financial Markets at the Montreal Exchange (M-X) and Montreal Climate Exchange (MCEX). He had previously held managing responsibilities at J.P. Morgan and Société Générale. Mr. Cyr started his career as options market maker on the Montreal Exchange trading floor.

Linda Roy,

Seasoned Financial Markets executive with extensive Securitization expertise.

Ms. Roy held progressively more senior roles in the National Bank of Canada group of companies over a 35-year period, including Managing Director, Head of Securitization. In this role, Linda oversaw all securitization activities for the firm which included asset-backed commercial paper programs, asset-backed securities, commercial mortgage-backed securities and covered bonds, in both private and public markets. Her group was responsible for business development and origination, transactions structuring and ongoing monitoring. Prior to this position, Linda held various positions, mainly in client facing roles, such as Senior Manager in the Government Banking Group, Branch Manager and Auditor. Ms. Roy earned her MBA, financial services in 2002 from the Université du Quebec a Montreal.

Mr. Saint-Laurent is Full-Time Lecturer at HEC Montreal. He teaches risk and portfolio management both at the undergraduate and levels. He also teaches CFA examination preparation courses. He is the head of the DESS in Financial Professions, a graduate program. As well, he is a Canadian Derivatives Institute team member. Mr. Saint-Laurent is an executive instructor in risk management in sessions delivered in West Africa. He has also acted as trainer with major brokerage firms in China. Moreover, he has been retained as expert witness in financial services matters. Mr. Saint-Laurent holds a B.Sc. and an M.Sc. in Economic Sciences from the University of Montreal, the CFA designation since 1995, the CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst) designation since 2004 and the FRM (Financial Risk Manager) designation since 2008.
